Hello reader! Here is the companion analysis to my weekly Astro Energy Report on YouTube.

Energy drivers for this week:
Mercury stations direct in Leo (8.28)
Venus, just entering Libra makes a trine with Pluto in Aquarius (8.29)
Pluto re-enters Capricorn, trines Uranus in Taurus (9.1)
Uranus turns retrograde (9.1)
New Moon in Virgo (9.2)
How are things out there? Did you feel the shift when Mercury ended its retrograde period? Likely we are still feeling the effects of any messes that were made, or we may be seeing more clearly things that we stumbled over while Mercury was in retrograde.
I have one theme to discuss this week, and two related themes next week. As we have the first eclipse on the Virgo-Pisces axis since 2016 happening on 9.17, I think it is wise to slow down a bit and do some pre-work.
Theme 1: Venus, Pluto, and Uranus.
There have been aspects and reciprocal rulerships over one another that indicate a conversation amongst these three planets. With Pluto changing signs in retrograde and Uranus moving into its annual retrograde, there is an emphasis of whatever it is they want us to individually reflect upon in order to raise it to collective consciousness.
It also seems significant that a few weeks ago, Venus made tense aspects to the other outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn) and essentially brought that energy with her to the aspects she made more recently to Uranus (trine) and Neptune (opposition) before making a trine to Pluto.
We can break down the energies of these planets to get a sense of exactly what they are discussing. Next week's themes will pull in Venus’s aspects to Jupiter and Saturn. Of course, there are entire doorstop books written about each of these planets, so keep in mind that this is a distilled version.
Venus: Ruler of Taurus and Libra, she presides over what we feel via our senses, the resources we have available to us, what we place value in, what we call beautiful, and how we function in a relationship.
Uranus: Modern ruler of Aquarius, known as the rebel - often on behalf of the underdog, brings instantaneous insight (lightbulb moments), sudden change for the purpose of getting the individual or collective on the path for evolution to the highest good. Associated with electricity.
Pluto: Modern ruler of Scorpio, known for intensity, power, and transformation. Associated with metamorphosis, death and rebirth.
Where these energies overlap is deep and rich territory, and I believe we receive hints from the other major themes I will raise next week.
For now, I propose that because Venus has been the catalyst, and as the fastest moving planet of the three, she may indicate the thread that weaves together what is being highlighted for us. Venus, having recently been in the sign of Virgo, and now leading the personal planets through the zodiac, also brings emphasis to the New Moon in that sign on 9.2, so pay attention to the intentions you set and the motivations underneath them.
So perhaps this theme is about wealth and how it is used (Venus) or more precisely, greed, and power (Pluto), and why we as humans have allowed such disparities between the rich and poor (Uranus) to amplify?
Instead of calling out the greed of CEOs and such, those of us who reside in the middle mimic it in small ways by buying enticing, yet cheaply made, material goods (sometimes with questionable labor practices) and food to feel like we have a lot? And know that I am right there with you in the line at Home Goods and Trader Joe’s! But all of this harms and/or depletes what Venus means for us to protect and use wisely, our natural and manmade resources.
I will leave you to ponder this information with the Sabian Symbol for the New Moon (12° Virgo) because it literally marries these three planetary energies: A bride with her veil snatched away. Disclosure of the hidden fruitions of nature to him who dares and who loves. Full appreciation of life. Penetration.
We will pick up on the other two themes next week.
I love love love your description of Venus and what she really wants. And how we mimic the greed (that most of us seem to despise) by shopping for beautiful things while simultaneously and usually willfully closing our eyes as to what other beings had to do to bring us this or that.
