My Substack has a Name
And I love her even more now!
Happy New Year My Friends!
This may be the last week I can say that, while the whoosh of fresh 2025 air still swirls around us. Not that I think this year will be stale in any way.
We are meant to jostle around a bit this year, and I believe we are meant to link arms with those who hold in their hearts what we hold in our hearts.
With that in mind, I am renaming my Substack in a way that (I hope) allows other hearts to find mine. To find ours, really, because you are all helping me figure out how we can live in a heart-centered way. I tried the other way, embarrassed by what I longed to be and do, afraid that if I opened up I would get kicked out or made fun of. I can still be pulled back into that state of fear, of course, but it happens much less often these days, as I trust that what I am passionate about is real and true for me, and will not let me down.
So I am naming my Substack after three guiding passions:
Astrology, Alchemy, and Honest Recovery with Maria Luz
The rest is the same for now, although you may notice some rebranding and reorganization over the coming weeks, as I tinker around a bit.

Love it, Maria--and we are all (if we're honest) in recovery from something. I'm in recovery from decades as a series genre fiction writer, learning to be less compulsive about the writing and have more fun with it. Wishing us both continued recovery!
