Have you been feeling a growing fatigue tinged with weightlessness? An uncertainty of where you are in time and space? Like nothing specific is wrong, yet nothing feels quite right either? It’s a complicated time, to understate the obvious.
I was prompted to ask these questions in part because I have noticed in Notes on Substack that the ones people seem to like the most at present are the simple ones:
The quotes or poems that hit your heart before your mind.
The pics of nature or animals or plants which are clearly not fake …
because they are Imperfect or align a little too soulfully with the words for AI to be behind it.
I am heartened by our natural tendency to gravitate toward the simple, the still, the organic when everything around us feels turbulent.
Enter Saturn and Neptune
Based on the mythology behind the names of these two planets, one is a Titan (Saturn) and one is an Olympian (Neptune). I can see the Baby Boomers metaphorically as the Titans and the Gen Xers as the Olympians. These generations have largely shaped the day to day world we live in today. Perhaps Saturn and Neptune, gaining proximity in the sky, represent the coming together of these two influential generations on Earth, in the form of Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
I won’t explain the astrological underpinnings in great detail here, as many talented astrologers have produced content about the general energy of these two planets coming into conjunction in the sign of Pisces (note that both will enter Aries this year and then retrograde back into Pisces). As well, others have laid out out the historical events correlating with previous conjunctions of these two outer planets. I think it is helpful to look back at what happened, but I tend to be cautious using the historical correlations as solely predictive because there are just too many variables. There is also bias in which history was recorded or how it was recorded, and how the search prompts for the historical events are written by those researching them.
All of those caveats aside, know that the previous four Saturn Neptune conjunctions saw remarkable events in Russian history which resulted in very different governments: assassination of Tsar Alexander II (1881), the revolution (1917), assassination of Joseph Stalin (1952), the Berlin Wall coming down (1989). I cannot help but see the irony in Ronald Reagan, in his role as leader of America’s sparkly democracy, calling for a wall to come down as a representation of the end to the Soviet Union, while today border walls and unification related to Russia are again a topic in a different context. How very Neptunian to have a fun house mirror turned on history. All we need is David Hasselhoff to be given a cabinet position.
No Clear Definition. You’ll Know it When You Feel It
There is a certain madness to Neptune’s method that can be destructive. In order to dissect the method, I would like to highlight a teaching from the Jeffrey Wolf Green School of Evolutionary Astrology, as explained by Jason Holley in the EA Glossary:
As Jeffrey taught, the Water Trinity shows involution in that Spirit/Neptune differentiates to Soul/Scorpio, differentiates to Ego/Cancer; and also shows that evolution occurs naturally in the natural direction of the zodiac of the shift in conscious identification from Ego/Cancer to Soul/Scorpio to Spirit/Pisces.
Yes, this quote is circular and also hierarchical. I raise it here as I find those paradoxical attributes relevant to the current Saturn and Neptune conjunction in Pisces. We will be experiencing a culmination (of what is TBD) as these two planets leave the end of the zodiac for another spin beginning in Aries as they dip into that sign this year, setting up camp next year for another approximately 40 year cycle until their next meeting.
I bring in my channeled messages below, and please know to always take only what resonates and leave the rest.
The symbolic images I received about this conjunction between Saturn and Neptune in Pisces are as follows. (I apologize some are a bit dark, but that’s how they came through, and remember they are symbolic in nature and will either resonate or not):
Being told fog has structure.
Hearing commands in total darkness.
Being forced to pray until your knees bleed.
A screen of innocence (children playing) used as a cover up/illusion.
Dragged to the bottom of the sea because you cannot unshackle yourself from your beliefs.
When I inquired about what we could do to maintain love and kindness in our disposition, but avoid spiritual bypass, I was offered:
Don’t go it alone, link arms. Help and be helped.
Trust your intuition. Cultivate a daily practice to connect with yourself.
Single task. A distracted person is a vulnerable person.
Follow only those you trust implicitly.
Be still to get your bearings.
Allow anger and frustration to release in a non-harmful way, also practice gratitude and notice the things which do not raise difficult to hold feelings.

EA Glossary: Guiding Principles of Jeffrey Wold Green Evolutionary Astrology
This was powerful my friend. Yes dark, but sometimes things are. The crazy thing for me was the sudden sharp memory of a dream I had just last night, of falling through water with weights clamped to my arms and legs, struggling to free myself and shouting for help. I had forgotten until I saw that line in this post. What an apt and alarming metaphor - thank you (I think!) for this interpretation!
