Uranus - like a flash of lightning

Also, celebrating weirdness - yours, mine, and everyone's!

Uranus, the planet of disruption and social change, moves into an exact trine aspect with the lunar South Node on May 1st, International Workers’ Day. It seems an opportunity for Uranus to make a statement, because the South Node is in the sign of Virgo, associated with workers (especially service workers), we’ll see. The South Node is a point of releasing what will not best serve us as we evolve, along with an opportunity to discern which skills and experience to take into the future, but perhaps applying them in a different manner.

On a personal note, Uranus is activating my birth chart, making an exact trine to my natal Pluto on April 27 for the third time since last year, and will make an exact square to my Sun on May 18. Uranus transits to the birth chart can zap you into a different way of being. It is like you are being prodded with a lightning bolt to step into the truest expression of whichever planet(s) it activates in your chart, leading to an individual who is free to live more honestly with each transit.

So, I am re-sharing this post on Uranus this week, in case you missed it.

I also want to share that I won Second Place in a writing contest for this essay! It means so much to me, because I share about my experiences so that others know that they aren’t weird or unlovable or whatever oppressive story they are telling about themselves to themselves. I was tired of living with shame about alcohol use disorder, mental health struggles, and failing to conform with societal norms, and it has helped me, and hopefully others, to process life’s challenges with my writing.
