Virgo lunar eclipse - getting back in your body
Just pretend the easy button doesn't exist
There will be a lunar eclipse (full moon) in Virgo on March 3, 2026 at 3:37 a.m. PST.
AI is the darling of capitalism because it increases the ratio of productivity to cost. This makes sense from a business standpoint, therefore everyone seems to be in acceptance of its “logic”. Calculations aside, we KNOW this does not compute.
Why? Because we (most of us) don’t work to be productive. We work because it is a way to connect our individual life to the lives of others in some way or other. We work out of a desire to create - to make concrete that which we can imagine.
We can no longer delude ourselves with the sales pitch that such efficiencies make life easier. Maybe they do, for some, but shouldn’t we reach for a more meaningful goal than “easy”? I know, I know. We are tired. Exhausted from working our butts off, from the hustle of life. Gimme some of that easy, I’ll take it.
Many of us have easy already, either because we are no longer employed, or because the tasks which make up our employment are so nonsensical they require little from us. This easy feeling is anything but easeful. Others have easy because they live in a state of delusion, believing they followed the rules and that is why they have it materially easy.
In the Moon’s reflected light, we see our misunderstanding with greater clarity. Easy doesn’t always feel easeful. Easeful isn’t necessarily easy to attain. The devotion of Pisces to just chill already, and the diligence of Virgo to serve the Gods of efficiency are suddenly exposed as pointless. What is it we are devoted to? Who exactly are we serving by being so damn efficient?
Neptune, ruler of Pisces, where the Sun sits, represents the individualized consciousness relative to the collective consciousness. Having just convened with structural Saturn, Neptune in the sign of Aries is now focused on getting back to spiritual basics before we begin another cycle of human evolution.
Dane Rudhyar wrote of the Moon’s Sabian Symbol (13° Virgo):
“We are at the stage where a powerful realization of the very purpose of the cycle of existence faces the chaotic remains of a dis-structured past.”
Mars, our action oriented planet, will have just entered Pisces prior to this eclipse. In essence, the upside down mirror to Neptune in Mars-ruled Aries. Aries is related to the innocent individual learning itself through action. It has no sense of scarcity of resources or competitors at this initial stage.
Let’s consider acting from such a place of Aries’ innocence and Pisces’ wholeness. We may be able to look to children as an example. Or maybe not, as childhood has become a demographic rather than a developmental stage. We are just a few generations into this pattern - and the result is many damaged and damaging never-matured adults projecting unexamined shadow.
One thing is certain, we cannot return to the delusion. The chaos is undeniable because it is real - and since it manifested, I suppose it was necessary. And even if we did not directly create the circumstances leading to this chaos and sadism, we are responsible for responding to it and creating what comes next. I don’t think AI can help with that.
Fortunately, Neptune, ruler of the imagination and dreams, will be in Aries for the next 13 years. Many have found themselves separated from the energetic source of creativity in the sacral chakra due to personal or generational sexual trauma. Aries’ energy places us squarely back in the body, equipped with a powerful survival instinct. We are being pushed to make our bodies safe and grounded in order to allow dreaming and imagination to fuel what is most needed- our intuitive creativity.
