What is it you want, and why?

Desire. With the majority of the planets in Mars-ruled Aries, it’s a good time to understand your relationship with the desirous energy of the planet Mars and the initiatory energy of Aries.

It may be obvious, but we cannot begin to go after what we want until we know what that is. To be honest, it has been rather painful for me to sort out what it is I want. Are mothers allowed to even want things? Isn’t that selfish? And as the duties of motherhood fade, I am finding that the same questions apply for women. Unless the things we want happen to be products that can be sold to us, I suppose. Or the things we want are masquerading services for others.

While this may sound bitter, that’s not how I feel. I am just being honest about being a bit stumped, just as the fire of the Aries New Moon is fast approaching. I do have a short list, but I want to spend some more time gaining clarity. This New Moon looms like a giant Reset button for anyone who has begun something in the last couple of years, and is finding that it isn’t going as expected, or for people like me, who have been experimenting and are feeling ready to focus.

The Moon is New in Aries on April 17th at 4:51 AM Pacific Time (Seattle). Why not spend the next week deciding what you desire most, and understanding the drivers of your desires, to make sure they are truly Yours.

On that note, I am taking some time off for Yours Truly. I find it really difficult to step away from work, but have received several nudges lately, which I need to honor.
