“A feeling of expansion rather than contraction”…. that exactly sums up the difference between synchronicities that point you in a good direction and fearful or magical thinking. The right path should definitely feel joyful rather than anxiety inducing. Thank you for your insight, even if the road was bumpy to get there.

Thank you, Maria, for so generously sharing your process of healing and trusting. You are such a gift to the world through the work that you do. When the dust settles here, hopefully soon, I look forward to benefiting from more of your astrological and/or psychic services. 🌿💚

An interesting question and post. My youthful choices were seldom intentional but I felt something deep that reminded me that I deserved better. I used drugs and alcohol to escape on a daily basis throughout my teens and early 20s but I never actually enjoyed that. I was coping. Later in my life, I felt more secure and more rebellious and I changed dramatically in my 40s. I love the idea of living without masks and walls but at 66 I am still hesitant to live fully exposed. Your writing gets me thinking!

Seeing those chapters of life is so valuable, Sue! You are always writing new chapters of life, as long as you are here. Sounds like you get to decide if there will be a plot twist. 📚

You’ve weathered so much, Maria. You have my admiration. “Our perception is biased, therefore it could be considered to be an illusion” really spoke to me. I tend to see the negative aspects of things.

Understandable, Barb! Many neuroscientists say it comes from the primitive part of our brain ... that negative perceptions have a stronger 'signal' in order to keep us safe as animals where there were predators.

That makes sense.

For me, Maria, the hard part was trusting those "signs and synchronicities." They seemed too clear to be true, and it was a long time before I could accept the new situation and believe I had come to the right place.

Well, at least you were present for them, Susan! I only see the ones from earlier times in my life in looking backwards. Evolutionary astrology and looking back at major outer planet transits really enables me to see how the universe was trying to show me a different option.

I am glad more people are interested in examining all parts of ourselves and what our experiences mean rather than remain blinded and simply stick to the program we are handed.

Of course, we are seeing that program is becoming tattered and torn, and many will have the blinders removed and may feel strongly betrayed.

This feels like a segue to the discussion over on your book club! I will spend some time there this week ☺️
