Fascinating, Maria Luz. I only recently discovered how significant the rising sign is. Mine's Gemini. Full of curiosity, for sure.

You may be interested Robin - I find it runs in families, if not shared exactly, then one's rising aligns with another's sun or moon. Once I began learning astrology, I felt the nudge to check my father's (20 yrs passed) chart, and found we share Scorpio rising. He has been a helpful guide to me from the other side.

An aunt and uncle very close to me both had Gemini sun signs. I was like a daughter to them. Years ago, when I learned my moon is in Pisces, it made sense. Both my first husband and my daughter are Pisces (sun), and my maternal grandfather, too. Often I feel more Piscean than Libran, although Libra is my sun sign. I'm very familiar with Scorpio (sun), since my father, his father, and three friends close to me share that sign. I look forward to reading more of your posts, Maria Luz. Last year I took some classes with Yasmin Boland and learned more about how a personal chart works. I've had mine analyzed, and it's been interesting to glean new things.

Perhaps at some point, AI will be able to add astrology into Ancestry.com. Even with just Sun signs it would be interesting! I also did not feel like my Sun sign for most of my life. Learning the rest of my chart really helped sort out some mysteries.

My Virgo rising totally fits!

Your description for Cancer is spot on. I tend to be self-protective in new environments. I also tend to see myself differently (tending towards negatively) than how others may perceive me.
