When you know you have to quit something, or change your life in a major way, you know it is going to be hard. That can keep us stuck to the point that nonaction becomes the default choice. But that choice is its own hard! Living in cognitive dissonance, trying to ignore a nagging feeling, or obvious misalignment in one’s life is hard in a different way, even if passive.
